The physical exam is the single most aspect of maintaining your pet's health. Wellness exams are recommended to be performed at least once a year on younger animals. Older pet need to be examined twice a year because disease conditions occur more commonly and their health status can change rapidly.
During this visit our doctors and technician not only examine your pet but they also collect information pertinent to the assessment of your pet's health. Your pet is treated as an individual and our doctors and staff tailor the appropriate healthcare program toward the individual pet's need. They may counsel you regarding vaccine protocols based on your pet's life-style, and appropriate dental care and nutritional guidance based on his age and medical condition. Other topics that are usually discussed are heartworm disease, flea control and intestinal parasite prevention.
